I'm an artist and illustrator based in Brighton, South East England. I love to draw and paint, creating work both from life, and from imagination. I also teach regularly, mostly through the life drawing school Draw Brighton.
Before taking up art as a career, I studied physics at university. Sometime after this, I decided to start studying independently. In 2016 I began oil painting and attending life drawing sessions at Draw Brighton. From there I went on to attend the Draw Atelier course run by Jake Spicer as a scholarship student.
I create realistic imaginary work across a variety of mediums, an interest fuelled by regular life drawing and painting from life. Painting and drawing from life is essential inspiration to my work, combining strong influences from fantastic themes, stories and the natural world. I work across a variety of mediums, including but not limited to oils, digital painting, drypoint printmaking, and standard pencil-to-paper drawing.
Since March 2018 I've run weekly taught classes at Draw Brighton, and also lead regular life drawing sessions there. I run workshops through Draw that focus on imaginative drawing techniques, and life drawing.
